Since beginning his career as a performance physiologist and researcher, Dr. Greg Wells has spoken to audiences all over the world at events such as TEDx and The Titan Summit, sharing the stage with Richard Branson, Steve Wozniak, and Deepak Chopra.

And speaking was just the beginning. For the past 25 years, Dr. Greg Wells has has worked with some of the highest-performing individuals on the planet, including Olympic and World champions and elite organizations like General Electric to BMO, Deloitte, KPMG, BMW, Audi, Sysco Foods, YPO and Air Canada. He is also committed to inspiring children and young adults, working with school boards and independent schools.

A veteran endurance athlete, Dr. Greg participated in the gruelling Nanisivik Marathon 600 miles north of the Arctic Circle, Ironman Canada, and the Tour D’Afrique (the longest cycling race—11,000 km!—in the world. He’s a travel and expedition adventurer who has journeyed through every imaginable terrain and condition in over 50 countries around the world.

And better yet, his team of expert scientists who craft the science-backed Wells Performance programs, often come along for the adventure. A great way to research new theories, practice what you preach and have some fun along the way!


Human Physiology

Sara Thompson, R. Kin. M.Sc. Registered Kinesiologist and Physiologist

Sara received her BSc in Kinesiology from McMaster University where she was also captain of the varsity swim team. During her Master of Science at the University of Toronto Sara conducted research on muscle function in people with Malignant Hyperthermia using magnetic resonance imaging. At Wells Performance Sara is responsible for the development and implementation of our corporate programs.


Nutrition and Dietetics

Eric Williamson, M.Sc., R.D.

Eric is a Registered Dietitian and is currently pursuing a Ph.D. within the area of exercise nutrition and metabolism. Eric works with all athletic backgrounds from elite athletes to those looking to balance fitness with busy work and family lives. His primary goal is to help people find the most effective nutrition strategies for their unique physiology and lifestyle while balancing the many other important areas of their lives to achieve overall success and fulfillment.

Naturopathic Medicine

Melissa Piercell N.D.

Melissa Piercell graduated from The University of Windsor with an honours degree in Neuroscience then went on to the Naturopathic Doctor program at The Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine.

She currently works in downtown Toronto improving the health of professionals and athletes. She is the Naturopathic Doctor for the National Ballet of Canada. It is through specialized nutritional programs and supplementation protocols that she helps these athletes be their best.

She lectures for students at Universities, numerous sports teams, and corporate wellness groups around the GTA.


Mindfulness and Meditation

Prof. Ellen Choi, Ph.D.

Dr. Ellen Choi’s research interests revolve around the effects of mindfulness training on attention, emotional regulation, and performance under pressure. Dr. Ellen graduated from Queen’s University Commerce before pursuing a Master of Science from the London School of Economics and ultimately completing a Ph.D. from the Ivey Business School. She is currently an Assistant Professor at the Gordon S. Lang School of Business and Economics at the University of Guelph.



The objective now is to build programs, workshops, apps to help high performing individuals, schools and businesses take the science of human health and performance and implement evidence-based tools and tactics to unlock human potential.
